Anonymous whispered: "I just want to say thank you so much for raising the issue with guys in rps getting borderline sexually harassed when people find out you're male. As a male rp-er, I find it really disturbing the way that people talk about men (Both as rp-ers and celebrities), when if we were to do it to women we'd be public enemy number one. I don't agree with saying stuff like that about girls nor have I ever, but honestly it's genuinely sad that nobody really sees it as an issue to objectify guys like that."

    Dear RPH Community,

    aaroneddieofrp:

We regret to inform you that Kevin and Liam never existed.

This blog was created to attempt to find out how far we, as people, could do all the wrong things without consequences. And this is not just about the gradient maps or the monochromatic schemes.

We are sorry if you feel personally victimized, that was not our intention. Our purpose was to bring up some of the faults in society that are exemplified and even promoted by the RPH community. If it was not for someone pointing out one of our very problematic and racist post, we would not have been called out. It is troubling to think that no one thought or even spoke out about some of the other problems we have posted about.

We are sorry to those we gave opinions on. You can be rest assured that we do not feel that way personally. It was merely an attempt to create a cover for ourselves.

We were actually aiming to carry this blog on for longer than we have. But we feel like this has gone too far and too out of control for our liking. We are ending it here and now.

These are some of the things we have found from this social experiment:

    1) We gained 125 followers in 6 hours. Perhaps it was the fact that we pretend to be males, and even posted pictures of ourselves to confirm this fact. We received a lot of asks telling us that we are hot, “I love you”, and “let’s have sex”. This borderlines on sexual harassment. If we were to send this to other women in this community, we would had been reported. This is unexceptable behaviour and unfortunately happens way too often in the RPH community. Before you “jump on your dicks”, please understand that males are people too.

    2) The racist post. Irant-RPC pointed out what was wrong with this post after a day we posted it. Yet no one called us out on this, until they found it on our blog. If you want to take a look at all the problematic features, just think about how many stereotypes we are relying on to create that list. Anyone can be named anything.

    3) Gay fetishism. “I would suck your dick but that’s gay.” Homosexuality is not here for you to fetish about. Two white males who are friends are not automatically gay. That sentence is problematic because we were degrading and stereotyping these people. On another hand, ‘That’s gay’ should never be used with a negative connotation. A sexuality isn’t something negative, just like it wasn’t made for other people to fantasize about, it shouldn’t be used as a slur, and this happens far too often in this community.

    4) Misogynistic and the white male gaze. We clearly stated that the only reasons why we love these actresses were because of their bodies. This is incredibly faulty because women are more than just what they look like. No one even thought of saying that “hey, it’s wrong for you guys to treat women like this.”

    5) The word “bitch”. This is not a good insult, especially in the way we have been saying it. It degrades women and compares them to a female dog. This is problematic because again, we had some kind of privilege to use this just because we were males.

    6) Plagiarism. The guide with 63 notes is a copy of behindthename. Go check it on google. We basically copied and pasted information with added jokes. This is called plagiarism and in many institutions, highly frowned upon. This is wrong because we are basically taking information others spent their time on and slapping our names on it. On another hand, even if we posted a source, reposting this on tumblr instead of a link would have been wrong as well as behind the name, just like most sites on the internet earn money every time someone visit their page. So please, next time you feel like dong that, instead of copy pasting with our without a source, just post a link

    7) Mistagging and being “helpful”. Since the beginning of this post, we have done nothing but give opinions, reblog other people’s work, and rip off a website. Helpfulness is not rated by that, but by how much original content we can come up with. How useful we are should be rated by how much we helped the people we reviewed. We also tag our “selflies” with the RPH tag. That is a tag meaning role-play help, how that is help we do not know. It is time to stop spamming the tag with irrelevant information.

Finally, we apologize to anyone whose feelings have been hurt by our actions. We did not intend for this to happen, only wishing to point out some faults and see how the community would react. We deeply apologize to anyone who have been triggered. We urge you to take action the next time anyone make these mistakes, whether they are in the RPH community or in real life. Don’t stay silent because everyone is doing it. It’s still wrong. These are some problems in society that we must take action upon, the RPH community is a good place to start.

If you wish to contact us, our askbox is still open. If anyone has any questions or inquiries about our actions, we will still be around to answer any concerns you might have. To those on our To Do List, we will be sending you private asks later on where to go for more help.

    Sincerely,

    “Kevin” and “Liam”
